Warranty Policy

Our Quality Commitment

At Marenca, we stand behind the quality of our products. Every piece is designed to be worn and enjoyed—not stored away in a box. This Warranty Policy explains what is covered, what is not, and how to request a repair or replacement if something goes wrong.


1. LIFETIME COLOR WARRANTY (STAINLESS STEEL JEWELRY)

All Marenca jewelry made from stainless steel (316L) with PVD or ion plating is covered by a Lifetime Color Warranty.

This warranty covers:

  • Tarnishing or discoloration

  • Peeling or flaking of the coating

  • Rusting or loss of color under normal wear

This warranty does not cover:

  • Scratches, dents, impact damage or bending

  • Loss or theft

  • Chains breaking due to force or improper use

  • Damage caused by chemicals, perfume, sunscreen, cleaning agents, etc.

If a covered issue occurs, we will replace the item free of charge. If the exact item is no longer available, we will issue store credit equal to the original purchase value.


2. 6-MONTH MANUFACTURING DEFECT WARRANTY

The following product categories are covered by a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects:

  • Sterling Silver (S925) jewelry, including gold-plated pieces

  • Leather bracelets and accessories

  • Rope bracelets and cord pieces

  • Stone-set jewelry (moissanite, polished gemstones, etc.)

This warranty covers:

  • Breakage caused by structural weakness (not force)

  • Clasp or link failure under normal use

  • Stones falling out due to faulty setting (see section below)

  • Items arriving damaged or defective

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear (scratches, fading, plating loss, stretching)

  • Damage caused by dropping, impact, pulling or force

  • Exposure to chemicals, saltwater, cosmetics, or cleaning products

  • Tarnish or color change on S925 or plated items (silver naturally oxidizes over time)


3. STONE-SET JEWELRY WARRANTY

Stone-set items (including moissanite and polished gemstones) are covered for 6 months only if the stone falls out due to a defective setting.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Stones lost due to impact, bending, hitting, snagging or accidental damage

  • Loss of shine, chips, surface scratches or cosmetic wear

  • Re-plating of S925 gold-plated items (gold finish is not covered under warranty)

If a claim is approved, the item will either be:

  • Repaired (stone re-set) if possible

  • Replaced with a new item if repair is not possible

  • Exchanged for store credit if the original item is discontinued

Marenca does not guarantee full restoration of gold plating during repairs.


4. WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY

  • Lost or stolen items

  • Items damaged by improper use, abuse, chemicals or accidents

  • Tarnish or fading on Sterling Silver or plated jewelry

  • Stretching, bending or misshaping caused by force

  • Scratches, dents or surface wear from normal use

  • Items purchased from unauthorized sellers or second-hand platforms

  • Free gifts / promotional items


5. HOW TO SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM

To request a warranty review, please email us at info@marenca.nl with:

  1. Your full name and order number

  2. Clear photos of the item and the issue

  3. A short explanation of what happened and when

We will review your claim within 3–5 business days and let you know whether it qualifies under warranty, requires inspection, or is eligible for paid repair service.

In some cases, we may require the item to be sent back for physical inspection before approval.


6. REPLACEMENTS, REPAIRS & SHIPPING

If your claim is approved:

  • Within the EU: Replacement shipping is free

  • Outside the EU: Customer pays return + replacement shipping

  • If the original item is no longer available, store credit will be issued

  • If repair is possible, we may choose repair instead of replacement

  • Items outside warranty may still qualify for paid repair service

Marenca reserves the right to refuse warranty claims in cases of abuse, repeated damage, or fraudulent claims.


7. WARRANTY START DATE

The warranty period begins on the original purchase date shown on the order confirmation.
Items purchased through resellers, marketplaces, or second-hand platforms are not covered.


8. LEGAL NOTICE

This Warranty Policy is offered in addition to, and does not replace, your legal rights under applicable consumer law.
Marenca reserves the right to update this policy at any time without prior notice.
